Job summary

Endoscopy ASC of Middle Georgia in Macon, GA is seeking a motivated GI Technician to join our ambulatory surgery center team. The GI Technician will assist physicians with gastroenterology procedures and provide setup and patient care under RN supervision.

The role requires a High School diploma, GI experience preferred, and CPR certification (or the ability to obtain prior to hire). Committed teamwork and patient safety are essential for success in this fast-paced ASC environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• GI experience preferred.
• Previous clinical experience in the GI Procedure room environment preferred.
• Current certification in CPR or ability to obtain prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe patient care as directed by the RN and center policy.
• Assists physician with GI procedures efficiently and effectively.
• Anticipates physicians’ needs in preparing for and during procedures.
• Reports patient outcomes to the RN in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Responds to patient care and facility needs in emergencies.
• Initiates basic CPR as appropriate and demonstrates emergency responsiveness.
• Ensures patient and family learning needs are met per the plan of care.
• Considers age-specific developmental factors in assessments and care.
