POSITION SUMMARY: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Clinical Supply Chain Associate (Mon-Fri 7am-3pm) Essex Crossing. In this role, the successful candidate will work in accordance with Nursing and surgeons to ensure proper items are on hand for upcoming cases. Responsibilities include creating, tracking, and receiving requisitions for assorted clinical supplies/implants, receiving and replenishing all incoming deliveries, maintaining appropriate stock levels, and creating cost-saving opportunities through par cart reviews. The role involves daily record-keeping such as temperature, tissue, and implant logs, working with vendors for loaner items and consignment products, and establishing processes for team workflow.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Pick cases for the next day's surgeries.
  2. Maintain, control, and restock supplies in all areas under Clinical Supply Chain Management.
  3. Create requisitions and scan supplies for operating/procedural rooms, including manual requisitions, rush orders, special requests, consignment orders, bill-only POs, and no-charge POs.
  4. Open incoming deliveries and replenish stock within storerooms and OR carts.
  5. Establish consignment pars with outside vendors.
  6. Suggest and locate replacement products for backorders, recalls, discontinued, or expiring products.
  7. Work with Purchasing & Accounts Payable to reconcile invoices.
  8. Check product expirations and rotate stock to ensure appropriate use.
  9. Establish relationships with vendors regarding cases, loaner trays, implants, and supplies.
  10. Determine par amounts and review par levels on all carts.
  11. Create Patient Supply Requests for new products approved by leadership.
  12. Communicate effectively with coworkers and nursing staff verbally and via email.
  13. Work independently and in teams.
  14. Attend departmental and nursing meetings.
  15. Assist with LVAD department requests.
  16. Maintain tissue and temperature logs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent combined with healthcare-related experience. Knowledge of surgical equipment and inventory controls. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree preferred. Certification in materials resources (CMRP). Experience with computerized inventory control systems, especially Peoplesoft 9+.
