Job summary

HonorHealth is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join the Gastroenterology-JCL team in Phoenix. The NP will work collaboratively to provide age-appropriate care, with a strong emphasis on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of acute and chronic conditions.

The role offers autonomy, leadership opportunities, and adherence to Arizona Board of Nursing scope of practice. Requires NP licensure with prescriptive authority, DEA, BCLS, and an MSN (or equivalent).

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing required (MSN/MS/MN) from NLN/CCNE-accredited program.
• Arizona Nurse Practitioner license with prescriptive authority required.
• DEA license required for prescribing controlled substances.
• BCLS (Basic Life Support) certification required at hire.
• Fingerprint clearance card required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide patient-centered care appropriate for the age group.
• Perform history and physical exams, order/interpret diagnostics, and manage acute and chronic diseases.
• Prescribe medications and coordinate transitions between care settings, including discharge.
• Provide mentorship, education, and leadership within the APN team.
