Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare is seeking a GI physician for inpatient locum tenens coverage near Holloman, NM. Shifts run Monday through Sunday, 8 am–5 pm, with 7–14 day stretches.

You will manage an acute GI patient population, provide call coverage, perform ERCP and EUS, colonoscopy, liver biopsy, and Sengstaken-Blakemore tube, and supervise APPs. Travel and housing expenses are covered; ASAP start.

Responsibilities

• Shift pattern: Monday–Sunday 8 am–5 pm, 7–14 day stretches.
• Manage 15 patients per shift with rounding on assigned patients.
• Inpatient GI practice with higher acuity patients.
• Provide call coverage with 15+ patients seen and 5–10 admissions per call.
• Perform ERCP (diagnostic and therapeutic) and EUS.
• Perform colonoscopy, liver biopsy, and Sengstaken/Blakemore tube.
• Supervise Advanced Practice Providers.
• Ongoing coverage ASAP start.
