Qualifications

• Experience in Gastroenterology (GI) Lab/Operating Room preferred.
• High School Education/GED or equivalent preferred.
• Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates and practices competencies related to endoscopic procedures, including disinfection, care and handling of endoscopes; assists physicians with procedures and room setup.
• Maintains quality control of sterilization and terminal cleaning; monitors sterilization processes and documentation.
• Transports patients between departments and collaborates with registered nurses during endoscopy care.
• Inventory supplies and communicates inventory needs to clerks.
• Collects data for performance improvement.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
