You will provide comprehensive nursing care for diagnostic and therapeutic GI procedures, collaborating with physicians, anesthesia, and the multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced outpatient and inpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Nursing, NM or Compact state license required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Strong patient education and collaboration with team members.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care before, during, and after GI procedures.
• Prepare patients for endoscopic procedures with informed consent and understanding.
• Monitor patients during procedures and recovery and document findings promptly.
• Administer medications per physician orders and protocols.
• Educate patients and families about procedures, prep, recovery, and discharge.
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia, and clinical staff to ensure quality care.
• Respond to changes in patient condition and emergencies.
• Maintain infection prevention, safety, and quality initiatives; ensure rooms and equipment are ready.
