Job summary

Texas Health Dallas is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the GI Lab on the Day shift (0730–1600). This full-time role at the Texas Health facility in Dallas requires acute care RN experience, GI/endoscopy familiarity, and BCLS/ACLS within required timeframes. CGRN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or diploma in Nursing required to apply.
• BSN preferred.
• At least 1 year RN experience in acute care or completion of an RN residency program required.
• GI/Endoscopy, critical care, emergency, PACU or procedural experience strongly preferred.
• RN - Registered Nurse on hire required.
• BCLS certification prior to independent patient care and renewed quarterly.
• ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• CGRN certification preferred upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients using the Nursing Process.
• Assesses the patient.
• Plans the patient’s care.
• Intervenes as appropriate.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions.
• Incorporates age-specific safety and infection control into patient care.
• Initiates information-sharing with patients and families.
• Maintains continuity of patient care across shifts and during transfers.
