Job summary

Saint Luke’s East in Lee's Summit is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Gastroenterology Lab department. This role performs endoscopy and bronchoscopy procedures, pre/post care, and pre-anesthesia calls. You will travel to the ICU for bedside procedures and be trained in infection prevention and scope reprocessing.

Part Time Days with on-call requirements in the GI Lab. The position emphasizes collaborative, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• 2 years ACLS required.
• MO RN license required (NURSYS).
• Associate Degree in Nursing is required.

Responsibilities

• Admit and recover endoscopy center patients and assist physicians during GI and pulmonary procedures.
• Circulate and assist during GI and pulmonary procedures with the procedure room team.
• Care for patients in pre-op and recovery phases.
• Delegate tasks appropriately and identify hospital resources.
• Serve as a clinical resource for new employees and demonstrate leadership.
• Travel to ICU to perform bedside procedures as needed.
