Qualifications

• Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice.

Responsibilities

• Reports pertinent observations, changes, and reactions of patients to the physician or supervisor.
• Records patient observations, changes, and reactions accurately and legibly.
• Assesses, plans, implements, and documents health teaching for GI conditions and treatments.
• Educates patient, family, and significant others regarding GI procedures.
• Assists physicians with patient rounds, procedures and exams.
• Maintains credentialing in cleaning and preparation of endoscopes and accessories.
