Job summary

Saint Luke's East in Lee’s Summit is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Gastroenterology Lab. The role includes admitting and recovering endoscopy patients, circulating during GI and pulmonary procedures, and making pre-anesthesia assessment calls.

Part-time days with on-call responsibilities are required, and travel to ICU for bedside procedures may occur. The unit emphasizes infection prevention and scope reprocessing training for the nurse in this setting.

Qualifications

• 2 years of nursing experience.
• ACLS required (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• MO RN license or equivalent (NURSYS).
• Associate Degree in Nursing completed.

Responsibilities

• Admit and recover endoscopy center patients.
• Circulate and assist physicians during GI and pulmonary procedures.
• Perform pre-anesthesia assessment phone calls.
• Travel with the procedure room team to ICU for bedside procedures as needed.
• Follow infection prevention and scope reprocessing procedures.
