Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a senior pharmacovigilance leader to define and drive global patient safety across GI2 development and marketed products. You will shape safety governance and provide enterprise decisions on go/no-go, labeling, and development strategy.

You will build a high-performing safety organization, mentor PV Scientists, and lead regulatory interactions while advancing AI-enabled safety analytics and ensuring compliance with global PV standards.

Qualifications

• MD/DO (or equivalent) ideally with PhD/Master in healthcare or Public Health.
• Direct clinical patient care experience.
• 10+ years in Pharmacovigilance, Clinical Research, or Clinical Development with global PV organization experience.
• 3+ years people management.
• Knowledge of drug safety regulatory requirements and methodologies; ability to synthesize complex data.
• Experience in multi-disciplinary and international drug development across therapeutic areas.
• Experience managing outsourced partners (CROs/vendors).
• Strong communication, analytical judgment, time management, leadership, mentoring, and global cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Owns the TA-wide benefit–risk profile; integrates data to drive evidence-based decisions.
• Leads interpretation of safety signals and directs proactive/reactive response strategies.
• Shapes enterprise decisions (go/no-go, study design, labeling) balancing patient safety with business needs.
• Provides leadership at Safety Board and enterprise bodies; ensures decision-ready safety narratives.
• Leads regulatory interactions with Health Authorities.
• Develops multi-layered safety organization including talent strategy and succession planning.
• Drives adoption of advanced analytics and AI-enabled approaches.
• Mentors GSLs and PV Scientists.
• Interfaces with cross-functional partners to ensure integrated lifecycle product strategy.
