Job summary

AOIA is seeking a BC/BE Gastroenterologist to join its GI Hospitalist team in Indiana. The role features a dedicated inpatient service with a 1 week on / 1 week off schedule, handling adult inpatient GI consults and procedures in a 204-bed hospital with an adjacent surgery center.

The candidate should be board-certified/eligible in GI, able to perform inpatient endoscopy, and collaborate with a four-GI physician group and two NPs. EUS/ERCP skills are helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• Board-certified/board-eligible gastroenterologist
• Willing to provide in-patient GI consults and perform endoscopy
• Experience in GI hospitalist setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide adult inpatient GI consults and procedures
• Perform inpatient upper and lower endoscopy
• Manage GI emergencies including variceal and ulcer bleeds
• Collaborate with GI group and hospitalists; participate in outpatient scope access
