Mercy in Springfield, MO seeks an Endoscopy Technician to provide patient care support in outpatient settings. You will prepare the endoscopy field, obtain equipment, and assist physicians and nurses, while upholding safety standards.
This role involves participating in low-acuity cases and high-level disinfection as needed. Qualifications include high school diploma or GED, BLS certification, 0–1 year of experience, and strong English communication.
Maintains professional accountability and technical support for provision of patient care for the endoscopy patients experience. As directed, may be preparing the endoscopy field, obtain needed equipment, uphold patient safety standards and assist the physician and registered nurse. Performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties and may assist with special procedures as noted on the career ladder program. These duties may range from limited to overly complex. All duties are performed in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
