Job summary

Sanford Health in Fargo, ND is seeking an endoscopy technician to support GI procedures. You will clean, disinfect and calibrate scopes, prepare procedure rooms, and assist the physician and nurse during procedures under direct supervision.

Responsibilities include transporting patients, setting up monitors, stocking rooms, and maintaining sterile technique. Requires high school diploma, BLS certification within 6 months, and GI-specific CEUs annually; associates GI certificate within eight

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Associates Program Certificate of Completion in GI nursing within eight months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within six months of hire. CEUs: six per year (GI-specific four).

Responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect and calibrate GI scopes and endoscopic instruments.
• Prepare procedure rooms and assist physician intra-procedure with biopsies and polypectomies.
• Transport patients, hook up monitors and ensure patient comfort pre-procedure.
• Stock rooms, manage inventory and assist with post-procedure patient care.
