Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to support physicians and the clinical team during general and interventional GI procedures. You will prepare equipment, assist during procedures, and ensure endoscopy instruments are functioning properly.

You will also manage inventory, coordinate equipment needs, and help with quality improvement initiatives. Schedule is Full-time, 36 hours per week, with days from 7am to 4:30pm.

Qualifications

• High School Education or equivalent preferred.
• Active CNA registry or active LPN license in state of practice preferred.
• CPR certification approved within 90 days; ACLS, PALS, PEARS, NRP may be required by unit.

Responsibilities

• Serves as resource person for Endoscopy equipment used.
• Evaluates new equipment, orders and restocks supplies.
• Checks schedule for specific supplies as requested by physicians/Lead RN.
• Collaborates with Materials to control costs.
• Independently assists physician procedures in general GI and interventional GI cases.
• Communicates equipment problems to appropriate departments.
• Participates in Quality Management program, standards, policies and procedures.
