Qualifications

• GI tech certification within one year of employment.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality patient care by following department policies and guidelines.
• Prepare each suite per daily schedule and procedure requirements.
• Ensure safe patient care by using cuffs, sensors, cannulas, and electrodes correctly.
• Assist MD/RN in procedures: biopsies, polypectomy, dilation, charting vitals and specimens.
• Maintain equipment and reprocess per manufacturer and CH policies; meet with manufacturers for new equipment or services.
• Maintain inventory and order items as required.
• Participate in GI ASC functions: scheduling, training, QA, meetings.
• Comply with universal precautions and PPE.
• Maintain active CPR certification.
• Other duties as assigned.
