Job summary

Women & Infants Hospital in Providence, RI is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide nursing care in collaboration with families, following American Nurses Association standards. The RN will deliver primary nursing care, assess, plan, intervene and evaluate patient needs.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, assist physicians with tests and procedures, support emergencies, and uphold patient rights and confidentiality. CPR and appropriate credentials must be maintained.

Qualifications

• Maintains CPR and any other credentialing or certification necessary to be competent as a Registered Nurse in an area of specialty.
• Must be proficient in the English language.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency, individually and as part of the multidisciplinary team, in performing clinical care and assessment of all patient populations.
• Provides individualized, goal-directed nursing care to patients to whom they are assigned.
• Assists physicians with special tests and procedures.
• Functions well in emergency procedures according to policy and procedure.
• Facilitates a team approach to the patient plan of care incorporating all disciplines involved.
• Incorporates standards of care into nursing practices.
• Develops, maintains, and enhances necessary skills to work with all patients to whom they may be assigned.
• Serves as a clinical resource to enhance the development of other nursing staff members.
• Exhibits professional interpersonal skills in all situations.
• Protects and preserves patient rights to confidentiality.
