Job summary

SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking an hourly/per diem TH CTS Endoscopy Associate in the Department of Perioperative Services. The successful candidate will assist in setup, assemble supplies for GI procedures, and help ensure high-level disinfection and infection prevention throughout the procedural workflow.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of relevant endoscopy clinical experience or completion of an approved surgical technology program.
• Completion and maintenance of required continuing education requirements.
• Or a satisfactory equivalent combination of experience, education and training.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the setup of the procedural room.
• Assemble necessary supplies and instruments for the gastrointestinal procedures.
• Establish and maintain the procedural space.
• Assist with the preparation of the patient undergoing a gastrointestinal procedure.
• Assist providers during gastrointestinal procedures.
• Maintain proficiency and competency of usage of all gastrointestinal equipment and supplies.
