Job summary

GastroIntestinal Associates, SC seeks a Registered Nurse to join the Stevens Point Endoscopy Center team. Responsibilities include pre- and post-care for GI patients and intra-procedure care as assigned, with documentation in the EMR and patient education.

This .60 FTE position (3 days/week, Mon-Fri) at the Stevens Point location may also require work at the Wausau location. Expertise in ambulatory surgical care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing completed; WI RN licensure required.
• Current Wisconsin RN license; BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum of two years nursing experience; GI or outpatient setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre- and post-care for GI patients, and intra-procedure care as assigned.
• Document care and administer medications; maintain EMR records.
• Assess physical, psychological, social, cultural, and developmental needs of patients; follow care plan.
• Delegate nursing tasks to support personnel and promote teamwork.
• Participate in quality improvement, infection control, safety initiatives, and policy reviews.
• Maintain proficiency in endoscopic nursing skills and equipment.
• Attend in-services and continuing education opportunities.
• Serve as a resource and role model to peers.
