Job summary

University Hospital – MU Health Care is seeking a dynamic registered nurse to join our GI/Endoscopy team. The role involves setting up sophisticated equipment, monitoring patients, and delivering high-quality therapies in a fast-paced GI environment.

Work includes coordinating with physicians to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes. Ideal candidates hold a Missouri RN license (or Compact multi-state license) and have cardiovascular inpatient or invasive procedure nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Missouri Board of Nursing RN license or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN.

Responsibilities

• Administer and monitor intravenous/analgesia medications during special procedures as ordered by a physician.
• Monitor vitals and provide oxygen therapy; conduct hemodynamic monitoring; assist in arterial/venous blood sampling and respiratory gas collection.
• Prepare patients and equipment for catheterization procedures; calibrate and set up pressure transducers and tubing.
• Assist in general endoscopy and fluoroscopy procedures; transport and aid in patient transfers.
