Job summary

Kiavets is seeking Military Veterans with mechanical experience for the position of Automotive Service Technician in Lihue, HI. This role is part of the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program, designed to facilitate the transition of veterans into the automotive industry with full-time training and certification opportunities. Candidates will work full-time at a Kia dealership, gaining skills in diagnosing, servicing, and repairing Kia vehicles while eligible for the GI Bill's Monthly Housing Allowance during their apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• Honorable Discharge from U.S. Military Service.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Prior experience in a mechanical or technical field.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
• Perform vehicle inspections and diagnostics using Kia diagnostic procedures.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
