Qualifications

• Master’s degree (MSN or MS in Nursing) and 2 years of recent clinical experience related to the area of practice.
• Previous teaching experience preferred.
• Current RN licensure in the State of Michigan.
• Certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse in a specialty area of practice, maintaining all requirements for medical staff privileges.
• Ability to operate basic computer programs for documentation and record keeping.
• Effective interpersonal relationship and communication skills across multiple groups.

Responsibilities

• Establish medical diagnoses for common health problems.
• Prescribe and regulate medications per written protocols.
• Record and document health appraisal data.
• Collaborate with physicians for appropriate plans of care.
• Provide emergency care within ACLS/BLS guidelines.
