Job summary

The Medical College of Wisconsin's Gastroenterology & Hepatology department seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide specialty medical care in an outpatient setting at Moorland Reserve Health Center in New Berlin, WI.

The APP will collaborate with GI specialists, order and interpret tests, perform procedures as needed, and contribute to high-quality, patient-centered care while pursuing ongoing education and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of experience with gastroenterology patients in an ambulatory setting.
• Certification as an Adult Care NP and/or Acute Care NP.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams in diagnosis and treatment in an outpatient GI setting.
• Order, perform, and interpret screening and diagnostic procedures and tests.
• Facilitate communication with patients, families, and staff to promote continuity of care.
• Perform procedures as needed.
• Evaluate quality outcomes for patients receiving care.
• Attend required training and comply with regulatory requirements.
• Acquire information on current trends in the APP field via educational programs, inservices, professional associates, and literature.
