Job summary

National Jewish Health in Denver seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) for the Gastroenterology division. The role includes inpatient/outpatient care, telehealth, and triage, with a focus on managing chronic and acute GI conditions.

You will perform history and exams, develop care plans, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, participate in education and research, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree required for PA or NP licensure and certification.
• 1 year of related APP experience preferred; GI experience is a plus.
• Colorado PA license or APRN license with prescriptive authority. DEA registration and national certifying body certification required. CPR/BLS required; ACLS/PALS as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for inpatients and outpatients including history and physicals, diagnoses, and care plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure continuity across settings.
• Engage in patient education, quality improvement, and research activities as part of clinical missions.
• Triage and manage acute conditions, with escalation to higher level of care as needed.
• Participate in professional development and education within the department.

Education

Graduate degree from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
