Summary

The part-time faculty member reports to the Principal, Department Chair, and Academic Dean. Responsibilities include teaching German to 8th – 12th graders, with experience at all levels preferred.

Scope of Responsibility

Includes instruction, evaluation, providing feedback, maintaining classroom order, taking attendance, and serving as a moral role model both on and off campus.

Essential Functions

• Instruct students faithfully according to Catholic teachings.
• Deliver course content as outlined by the Department.
• Evaluate students with authentic assessments.
• Provide feedback and keep grades updated.
• Differentiate instruction and assist students needing help.
• Communicate professionally with parents.
• Maintain positive rapport and stay current professionally.
• Set professional development goals and collaborate with colleagues.
• Serve as a student advisor or house leader.
• Adhere to professional standards, including attendance and dress code.
• Attend school events and supervise students as required.

Risk Management Standards

• Follow boundaries and report suspicious behaviors.
• Complete required training and reporting.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in education or primary teaching area; Master’s preferred.
• Teaching experience preferred.
• Two references, background check, and drug screening required.
