Melrose Area Public Schools seeks a world language educator to lead the high school German program beginning 2027–28. The role emphasizes proficiency-based instruction, cultural immersion, and ongoing collaboration with staff and partner schools.
You will teach German 1–4, support upper-level courses with college credit, and oversee the German American Partnership Program, including student travel planning and exchanges.
Position open until filled.
Melrose Area Public Schools is seeking an enthusiastic, student-centered High School German Instructor to join our world language department beginning with the 2027–28 school year.
Our German program is well established and offers students meaningful opportunities to develop language proficiency, explore German culture, and experience learning beyond the classroom. Upper-level German 3 and German 4 courses include concurrent college instruction, providing students with the opportunity to earn college credit while still in high school.
A distinctive feature of our program is our long-standing German American Partnership Program (GAPP), an international student exchange partnership that has been an important tradition in Melrose for approximately 40 years. Through this partnership, students experience German language and culture firsthand, build international friendships, and develop a broader understanding of the world.
We are looking for an educator who values these traditions while bringing enthusiasm, creativity, and a vision for continuing to strengthen and grow the program.
