Job summary

Berlitz in the Washington, DC area seeks a German Instructor for our in-person program with remote options. You will teach German to assigned classes and support students in line with Berlitz teaching and customer service standards.

Responsibilities include level assessments, ongoing coaching, and incorporating learning technology while maintaining accurate records. Availability 9:00 am to 4:00 pm supports our daytime program in Tysons/DC area.

Qualifications

• Expert-level German proficiency required.
• Intermediate English required.
• Four-year degree or equivalent.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexible to work with varying hours.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lessons following Berlitz principles focused on learner goals.
• Assess levels and needs analyses as directed.
• Teach in-person, offsite or virtual classes.
• Participate in evaluation and coaching with Academic Specialist.
• Maintain records and integrate learning technology.
