Job Description

Adjunct faculty are responsible for fostering a learningenvironment that supports students in achieving their academicgoals, while delivering effective instruction and assessment inalignment with the provided syllabi. The Global Languagesdepartment is seeking a German adjunct to teach one elementarylanguage class Fall 2026 on campus.

Experience

Previous teaching experience is required. College-level teachingexperience preferred.

Education

Minimum Qualifications : Master’s or higher degree in German (otherdegrees in the Humanities or Social Sciences will beconsidered).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Follow the guidance and direction of supervisor(s).
  • Demonstrate respectful, ethical, responsible behavior.
  • Abide by the University’s policies, procedures, and rules.
  • Perform employee responsibilities as detailed in employeehandbooks and policies.
  • Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance andpunctuality.
  • Other duties, including special projects, as required orassigned.

  • Facilitate student learning by effectively delivering assignedcourses.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance, grades, andother required documentation.
  • Engage with students consistently in meaningful and constructiveways.

  • Ensure a safe, high-quality online learning environment.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to creating an inclusive atmosphere thatrespects and values the backgrounds of our students andstaff.
