Job summary

Essen Health Care is seeking Board Certified or Board Eligible Physicians for our Nursing Home Division across multiple locations in New York, including Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, Poughkeepsie, Long Island and Westchester. Physicians will assess, diagnose, and treat patients, prescribing appropriate medications and crafting care plans that meet state and national standards.

Qualifications

• Board-certified/board-eligible in geriatrics, internal medicine, palliative care/hospice, or family medicine.
• Active NY medical license and DEA/DPS registrations.
• Experience providing primary care and diagnostic services in a clinical setting.
• Ability to work with a multidisciplinary team across Essen Health Care network.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary medical care to nursing home patients within standard of care.
• Order laboratory and radiology tests and refer to specialists when appropriate.
• Prescribe medications and treatment regimens to manage diagnosed conditions.
• Discuss potential side effects and ensure allergy information is up-to-date.
• Maintain complete medical records and protect patient confidentiality.

Education

MD/DO degree from US medical school
