Job summary

CareMed Group seeks a Medical Director to provide clinical leadership and oversight for skilled nursing and long-term care facilities in a multi-site network. You will ensure high-quality, patient-centered care, collaborate with nurse practitioners and physicians, and drive regulatory compliance and quality initiatives.

Ideal candidates hold an MD/DO with board certification in geriatrics or related fields and an active license, bringing expertise in chronic geriatric care and performance

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree with active state license.
• Experience in skilled nursing facilities, long-term care, post-acute care, or geriatrics.
• Experience collaborating with nurse practitioners and interdisciplinary teams.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical direction and oversight for resident care in SNFs/long-term care.
• Develop clinical standards, protocols, and best practices.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and review quality metrics.
• Collaborate with NPs and physicians; supervise advanced practice providers.
• Participate in credentialing, documentation, and regulatory surveys.
• Lead QAPI programs and oversee patient outcomes.
