Job summary

Salgado LLC in San Jose, CA is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support elderly patients in a clinical setting. You will work closely with providers to deliver safe, efficient care and help maintain a welcoming environment.

The role requires at least 2 years of MA experience in a clinical setting, certification or accreditation by CAAHEP/CA Board, and active certification from approved agencies. Full-time with comprehensive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience in a clinical setting.
• Experience with elderly or frail populations is preferred.
• Completion of an accredited MA program (CAAHEP or CA State Medical Board).

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for appointments, check in/out, and obtain histories.
• Measure and record vital signs during pre-exam assessments.
• Assist with procedures under physician supervision (dressings, sutures).
• Collect and process laboratory specimens as ordered.
• Sterilize medical and dental equipment and maintain sterile technique.
• Keep exam rooms clean, stocked, and logs up to date.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
