Job summary

The University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center, Department of Internal Medicine, seeks a Board Certified or Board Eligible Geriatric Medicine trained physician to join our Geriatric Medicine section on the Albuquerque campus. The role expands our outpatient faculty group and includes teaching residents, fellows, and medical students in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Board certification or eligibility in Geriatric Medicine by date of hire.
• Eligibility to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based clinical care to a dedicated patient panel.
• Teach residents from Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Fellows in Geriatric Medicine, and other specialties.
• Contribute to medical student education and leadership opportunities.
• Participate in academic and administrative activities within the division.
• Advance outpatient care and quality improvement in Geriatrics.
