Job summary

Summa Health in Akron, Ohio is seeking board-certified/board-eligible geriatricians to join a team of 5 physicians and 12 advanced practice providers. The role includes a mix of outpatient Geriatric assessment and inpatient consults at Akron and Barberton campuses.

Visa sponsorship is available for 2027, with an employed position and comprehensive benefits. The candidate will contribute to Summa's Complex Care Institute, collaborating with geriatric nurses and participating in medical student

Summa Health is seeking Geriatricians to join our team of 5 physicians and 12 advanced practice providers! The current opportunity will be a mix of outpatient Geriatric assessment and inpatient consults at Akron and Barberton campuses. We are considering both full-time and part-time applications. We are supporting visa sponsorship for 2027.

The chosen candidate will support the evolution of Summa's Complex Care Institute, whose vision is 'to be a center of excellence bringing more help to those patients who need more help. To provide our most vulnerable and complex patients with comprehensive, interdisciplinary care and support in a cost effective, efficient, and well-coordinated plan.

The selected candidate will become a member of Summa Health Medical Group, a multi-specialty group practice with nearly 700 providers employed by the Summa Health System. Comprised of 2 hospitals and over 20 health centers, Summa Health is one of the largest integrated Healthcare Delivery Systems in the state.
