Job summary

Summa Health in Akron, Ohio is seeking Geriatricians to join a team of 5 physicians and 12 advanced practice providers. The role mixes outpatient geriatrics assessment and inpatient consults at Akron and Barberton campuses, with the option for full-time or part-time schedules and visa sponsorship for 2027.

The selected candidate will join Summa Health Medical Group and participate in education of medical students, residents and fellows within an academic model of care at a community teaching

Geriatrician Opportunity

Summa Health is seeking Geriatricians to join our team of 5 physicians and 12 advanced practice providers! The current opportunity will be a mix of outpatient Geriatric assessment and inpatient consults at Akron and Barberton campuses. We are considering both full-time and part-time applications. We are supporting visa sponsorship for 2027.

The chosen candidate will support the evolution of Summa's Complex Care Institute, whose vision is 'to be a center of excellence bringing more help to those patients who need more help. To provide our most vulnerable and complex patients with comprehensive, interdisciplinary care and support in a cost effective, efficient, and well-coordinated plan.

The selected candidate will become a member of Summa Health Medical Group, a multi-specialty group practice with nearly 700 providers employed by the Summa Health System. Comprised of 2 hospitals and over 20 health centers, Summa Health is one of the largest integrated Healthcare Delivery Systems in the state.

Candidate Requirements
