Job summary

Summa Health in Akron, OH seeks a Geriatrician to join a team of 5 physicians and 12 APPs. The role blends outpatient geriatric assessment with inpatient consults at Akron and Barberton campuses, with both full-time and part-time options and visa sponsorship for 2027.

The physician will contribute to Summa's Complex Care Institute, engage in education for students and residents, and work in a community teaching hospital with Epic EMR and integrated senior care services.

Qualifications

• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Geriatric Medicine.
• Unrestricted Ohio License or willingness to obtain.
• Commitment to quality care in a patient centered, team-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient geriatric assessment.
• Inpatient consults at Akron and Barberton campuses.
• 1:6 weekend call rotation (in context of care coordination).
• Active involvement in medical student, resident and fellow education.
