Advantage Surgical and Wound Care has an exciting opportunity for a Part-Time Wound Care Specialist (1-2 days/week) to work in/near the Holyoke, MA area. Qualified candidates will round at multiple facilities that are located within a designated territory.

We are currently seeking Medical Doctors (MD or DO) to join our progressive medical practice. Our experienced medical providers perform rounds in Skilled Nursing Facilities, providing wound care to residents of post-acute rehab settings,

Qualifications

• Active state medical license (MD/DO) required.
• Board certification in Family Practice or Internal Medicine preferred.
• General Practitioners welcome to apply.
• Valid state driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver wound care at the bedside in the post-acute care setting.
• Round daily at multiple facilities.
• No supervisory commitment.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, focusing on wound risk factors.
• Collaborate with facility staff to implement wound care plans.
• Educate nursing staff and coordinate with physicians, families and clinical teams.
• Order medications and provide usage instructions.
• Provide quality geriatric patient care.
