Job summary

Community LIFE Wilkinsburg is seeking a Wheelchair Van Driver (Casual) to transport older adults to the day center, residences, and appointments, and to deliver medical equipment as requested.

Schedule is casual with 16 daytime hours minimum per month, Monday–Friday, not weekends. Must have a High School Diploma or GED, a valid PA driver’s license, and be able to pass a DOT physical. Five years of driving experience is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Five years driving experience required
• Valid PA Driver's license with a clean record; pass DOT physical
• Knowledge of local roads; map-reading ability
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to handle stressful situations

Responsibilities

• Transport older adults to the day center, residence, appointments, and activities
• Deliver medical equipment as needed
• Plan and organize daily routes in coordination with Transportation Supervisor
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of the van and equipment
