Job summary

The Humboldt Senior Resource Center is seeking a dedicated aide to support therapy-related services within the Day Center and exercise gym. You will help participants perform prescribed exercises, prepare the treatment space, and assist with transitioning between areas, while ensuring safety and proper body mechanics.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, with preference for kinesiology or related degrees and 1 year of elderly care experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Degree in kinesiology, exercise science, or related field preferred.
• One year of experience with frail/elderly population preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support therapists in treatment plan implementation.
• Assist participants with prescribed exercises.
• Prepare treatment area, equipment, and materials.
• Welcome and assist participants transitioning to the exercise gym.
• Monitor vital signs before/after exercise as needed.
• Maintain clean and safe gym environment.
• Document participant records and encounters.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team on care plans.
