Job summary

The Oaks Healthcare Center in POTEAU, OK is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team for weekend doubles. You will follow physician orders, document patient histories, monitor condition changes, administer medications and provide wound care and basic nursing tasks to geriatric residents.

You'll also train staff, communicate with families, and ensure adherence to state regulations and policies. A current state RN license and successful background check are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a current state Registered Nurse License.
• Understand and follow State regulations as well as company policies and guidelines.
• Must pass criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Follow Physician orders and communicate accurate assessment data to maintain quality of care
• Record a patient’s medical history accurately
• Monitor/document patients’ change of condition, notify Physician and supervisor
• Administer injections, prescribed medications, enemas etc., clean and dress wounds and assist with other basic medical care tasks
• Provide monitoring/training of staff to maintain quality of care for ALL residents
• Communicate with patients’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort and release instructions
