Franciscan Ministries in Lindenhurst, IL seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide direct resident care and supervise nursing assistants, ensuring compliance with regulations and facility policies.

The role emphasizes holistic care, medication administration, care plan updates, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to meet residents' needs. Requires 1+ year clinical nursing experience, preferably geriatrics, and an active RN license.

Formación

• A nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current unrestricted RN license in practicing state.
• 1+ years of clinical nursing experience, preferably geriatrics.

Responsabilidades

• Direct the daily activities of CNAs and RAs in line with regulations and policies.
• Follow the nursing model to promote holistic resident care.
• Ensure policies and procedures are followed by nursing staff.
• Assist in admission, discharge and transfers of residents.
• Assess for changes and notify physician and family as needed.
• Transcribe physician orders and carry out as written.
• Administer medications as ordered and monitor for adverse effects.
• Perform wound care and track changes per physician orders.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and transportation as needed.
• Provide nursing leadership to unit staff.
• Maintain infection control and adhere to policies.
• Report incidents to leadership and ensure adequate stock of meds and supplies.
• Participate in survey processes and QAPI activities.
