Job summary

California Park Post Acute in Chico, CA is seeking a Registered Nurse to ensure effective and efficient nursing care as prescribed by the physician and facility policies and procedures.

Responsibilities include medication administration, patient assessment, documentation, collaboration with physicians, and adherence to infection control and safety policies; you will participate in QA and staff training as required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Current, active license as a Registered Nurse.
• Experience in long term geriatric nursing care and/or training in supervision preferred.
• Must be able to read, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare, administer and document medications and treatments per physician orders and facility policies.
• Record time spent performing treatments and adhere to policies.
• Assess resident responses to medications and notify physician of adverse effects.
• Inform resident and family about treatment plans and new orders with explanations.
• Maintain proper drug storage, security, and disposal per policies.
• Assist with physician rounds, care plans, MDS assessments and admissions/discharges as required.
• Support infection control and safety policies in daily tasks.
• Participate in Quality Assurance programs and in-service education.
