The ideal candidate will assess respiratory function, develop personalized treatment plans encompassing oxygen therapy, nebulizers and chest physiotherapy, and collaborate with the care team to improve quality of life.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
• Valid state license and credential as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Minimum 2 years of geriatric respiratory experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible to rotate weekends/holidays if needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of respiratory function in geriatric patients.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans including oxygen therapy, nebulizers and chest physiotherapy.
• Monitor and adjust respiratory equipment for safety and comfort.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and self-care techniques.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
• Maintain accurate records of patient progress and plans.
• Stay current with advancements in respiratory therapy techniques.
