Job summary

Veterans Health Administration, Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a GRECC Director to lead geriatrics research, education, and clinical programs. This role directs strategic initiatives, aligns activities with VA goals, and oversees GRECC operations and staff to advance aging care across the system.

The Director will foster cross-disciplinary collaboration, coordinate with VISN and Central Office partners, and drive innovations in patient-centered aging care within a federal health network.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Preferred experience in geriatrics and aging-related health issues.
• Experience in geriatric research and leadership.
• Ability to design and manage research and clinical programs.
• Ability to align GRECC activities with VA strategic goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead GRECC research, education, and clinical programs and activities.
• Promote aging knowledge and improve care quality for geriatric patients.
• Represent GRECC on committees and coordinate with VA leadership.
• Oversee GRECC staff actions including hiring, evaluation, and development.
• Ensure GRECC goals are integrated with the health care system.
