Job summary

Rockport Healthcare Services is hiring an Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide direct patient care under supervision of an OT. You will document per regulatory standards and assist with scheduling and support tasks within a multidisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes accurate progress notes, collaboration with discharge planners, and maintaining safety during treatment; CPR certification and state licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AOTA approved Occupational Therapist Assistant program.
• Current State licensure required; CPR certification.
• Experience in geriatric rehabilitation and neurological/cardiac rehab preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work with diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist.
• Complete documentation per procedures and billing requirements.
• Assist with scheduling patient services and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and educate staff on documentation practices.
• Ensure safety and apply CPR if required.
