Job summary

Northwood Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house therapy team in Springfield, Ohio. You will assist therapists, implement treatment plans, and contribute to comprehensive care for residents in a 75-bed facility.

Qualifications include a PTA license, a high school diploma or equivalent, and preferably an associate degree. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential to thrive in our fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (Required).
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred.
• 0+ years of experience in physical therapy; geriatric rehabilitation a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists with patient evaluations, treatments, and follow-up assessments
• Implement treatment plans under the supervision of a physical therapist
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatment and progress
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to develop and implement patient care plans
