Job summary

Palmetto Subacute Care Center seeks a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide patient-centered care under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. The role emphasizes long-term/geriatric care experience, accurate documentation, and collaboration with the care team.

The PTA will administer treatments, track progress, and ensure adherence to facility policies including HIPAA and Residents Rights, contributing to a compassionate, high-quality rehab program at our Miami location.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant college or university.
• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of FL.
• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under supervision of Physical Therapist.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not required.
• Well versed with documentation writing.
• Document patient's progress on weekly progress notes in a timely fashion.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient-centered treatment and care.
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence.
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation.
• Confidentiality, HIPAA and Federal Residents Rights compliance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out best-practice treatments under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Provide treatment according to goals developed by the PT and report feedback.
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure patient-centered care.
• Uphold confidentiality and professional standards.
