Job summary

Freeman Health System, located at Freeman East, offers inpatient psychiatric care with 42 beds for adult psych and 10 beds for geriatric psych. The RN role supports the medical plan of care, performing ongoing assessments and implementing interventions to ensure safe, effective care for psychiatric patients and their families.

The position requires a Missouri RN license or a compact state license, with a full-time night schedule (36 hours per week).

Qualifications

• Current Missouri Registered Nurse license or current Registered Nurse license from a compact state.
• If a compact license is held, it must be in the nurse's state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Independently performs systematic and continuous assessment of the physical, emotional, clinical and psychosocial needs of the psychiatric patient and families.
• Plans and implements appropriate interventions; and evaluates effectiveness and adjusts plan as indicated in a timely manner for the provision of safe and effective care.
