Job summary

Elliot Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Geropsychiatric Unit in Manchester, NH. This role provides specialized care for patients aged 65+ with psychiatric needs, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, patient-centered care.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited nursing program with NH RN licensure (compact or multistate) and the ability to obtain BLS during orientation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current New Hampshire, compact, or multistate RN licensure.
• Ability to obtain and maintain BLS qualification during orientation and employment

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients with complex psychiatric and medical needs.
• Create and maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and families.
• Promote changes to support optimal patient outcomes and professional practice.
• Involve patient/family in goal setting and planning, and communicate the plan of care to patient, family, and colleagues for seamless care across shifts.
• Use current evidence and relevant standards to guide practice and identify areas for improvement.
• Demonstrate competent clinical practice with sound clinical judgment and critical thinking
