Beth Israel Lahey Health's Center for Healthy Aging in Danvers is seeking a part-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a multidisciplinary geriatric team, primarily based at the Lahey Outpatient Center in Danvers with coverage at Addison Gilbert Hospital in Gloucester.

You will conduct comprehensive geriatric psych evaluations and manage medications for behavioral health issues including dementia.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Master’s Program in Nursing.
• Physician Assistant program.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct geriatric patient mental health care services including comprehensive geriatric psych evaluations and psychopharm management.
• Diagnosis, treatment and medication management for treatment of patients with behavioral health issues and comorbid issues including dementia.
• Teaching patients and their caregivers how to manage illnesses and provide supportive care.
• Must be comfortable and enjoy working with behavioral health patients and the geriatric population and be a team player.
• Work closely with the LICSW team who do the initial behavioral health intakes and are often following patients in individual therapy.
