Behavioral Health Solutions is seeking Advanced Psychiatric Practitioners (PMHNP, PA-C) to join our SNF Psychiatry team in Newark, NJ. The role provides direct psychiatric services to geriatric patients in Skilled Nursing Facilities and requires NJ licensure in psychiatry and DEA registration.

Qualifications

• 1 year geriatric psychiatry experience.
• 1 year treating patients in Skilled Nursing Facilities or Acute Rehab Hospitals.
• Licensed in NJ for psychiatry; NJ Board of Nursing in good standing.
• Licensed to prescribe controlled substances (DEA) in NJ.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face psychiatric services in Skilled Nursing Facilities.
• Assess mental status based on symptoms.
• Diagnose DSM-V disorders and develop treatment plans.
• Consider psychopharmacology options and non-pharmacological treatments.
• Staff clinical cases with psychiatrists.
